Greetings from Washington DC! My name is Karla Yee Amézaga. My passion and career focus on the use of statistics, geospatial data and new technologies to promote digital, more efficient governments and service delivery, help improve people's lives and promote inclusive development around the world. In my current role at the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), I support the preparation, execution, and management of projects; the adoption of international data production, use and sharing standards, as well as the elaboration of knowledge products, all aimed at promoting digital governments and strengthening the statistical capacity in Latin America and the Caribbean. Topics that I love to talk about: new technologies, geospatial analysis, data visualization, ML and NLP, videogames, vegan cuisine, dogs (pitbulls, in particular).
